Workshop Equipment

  • With a cast iron table at the heart of this compact machine it is designed to offer those with limited space or budgets a real bandsaw with sensible capacity and performance, as an alternative to lightweight hobby machines. The BS250 should not be confused with the lightweight hobby machines available in the market at a similar price. It shares the same essential build qualities as its larger cousins – strong steel frames, dynamically balanced bandwheels, cast iron tables and an induction motor. It has been designed to offer the user with space restrictions a serious machine in compact form. The machine can be bench mounted or fitted to the optional stand and wheel kit, providing great flexibility in a tight space.
  • Record Sabre-250 10" Bandsaw, by taking the most relevant features from the existing SABRE series and applying them to the BS250, Record believe they have produced the best benchtop bandsaw available on the market below £400 / €500. In addition, the capacities, power and performance upgrades, combined with the unique SABRE features now found on this machine, make it a real contender in the general purpose floor-standing bandsaw category when combined with the BS250-AW stand and wheel kit. In this configuration it has quality and features well ahead of many of the lower cost floor-standing machines available in the market. The end result is a premium-quality, affordable bandsaw which retains the compact size of the BS250 while offering improved capacities, usability, accuracy and performance.
  • This stand and wheel kit provides great flexibility for those with a small workshop or for people who may need to move the machine on a regular basis.
  • Faceplates

    £14.99£43.99
Faceplates are the ideal tool for mounting larger or heavier work, for turning across the grain. This cast iron faceplate is precision machined on external faces to a tolerance of 1/1000th of an inch for each inch of radius and CNC turned for exceptional accuracy and balance. It features concentric circular grooves to aid the centralising of smaller workpieces.
  • Drive Centres

    £14.99£27.49
Designed to hold wood securely without splitting, this drive centre gives superior hold. The opposing tooth profiles mean that as they enter the wood, the fibres are pushed together rather than apart, holding the timber together.
  • Counterbore/Piloted Drives

    £33.66£36.84
1” diameter 4 prong head. Head relieved behind flutes to prevent binding. Supplied with inter-changeable point, pilot and hex key.
  • Live Centres

    £21.99£32.99
A good quality tailstock live centre is an essential accessory when turning between centres. Unlike traditional stationery centres, a live centre rotates with the wood, eliminating burning and increasing hold. All Record Power live centres feature high quality bearings to give long life and resist pressure during use. Sealed for life bearings ensure reliable, long lasting operation.
  • Rotating centre with 5/16” bore for long hole boring. Based around a standard duty configuration. Also useful for spindle turning when there is a danger of a centre point splitting the stock. Set comprises: Hollow rotating centre, nose cone for use as standard centre, centring rod.
  • Skip tooth pattern to suit BS250 & Sabre 250. Also fits RSBS10, Clarke CBS335, Nutool HBS14
  • The BS300E is a great all rounder perfectly specified for the medium sized workshop where a range of duties will be required.
Featuring a solid fence, vital for accurate ripping, which has a heavy extrusion mounted on a cast iron base and fixed to a solid steel bar for maximum rigidity and support. This is based on an industrial Startrite design and much more solid than other fences at this level. The machine also features a solid double trunnion fence mount to provide rigid table support and one-handed table tilt on a smooth rack and pinion. Adding to the structural integrity of the BS300E are the cast iron bandwheels which are fitted with precision ground rubber tyres to provide a flywheel effect for smooth cutting. A solid blade tension indicator is fitted to the rear of the machine to allow for easy setup. The BS300E is also supplied with a basic wheel kit as standard.
  • The wheel kit provides great flexibility for those with a small workshop or for people who may need to move the machine on a regular basis.
  • Woodturners drill chuck, supplied with chuck key.

  • Skip tooth pattern to suit BS300E. Also fits Startrite 301S/301E, Poolewood 1402, Scheppach Basato 3

An ideal workhorse for the busy workshop where power and generous capacity are required but budget and space do not allow a bigger machine. This features an open legstand, often requested by our users as it provides greater stability and can be used with an optional pedal style wheelkit. A basic wheelkit is provided as standard. The bandwheels are cast iron and dynamically balanced with precision ground, crowned rubber tyres usually only found on much more expensive industrial machines – the flywheel effect of the cast iron wheels improves cutting performance and speeds. Our tables are some of the largest in their category and a one piece cast double trunnion has been designed to provide even greater support and rigidity. The rip fence is the strongest and most industrial in its category with a chromed fence and the mount machined from a single piece of cast iron. The extrusion itself is a heavy section to provide rigidity and accuracy.
  • A wet stone sharpening system with a range of jigs and accessories and is also an extremely useful tool for general household tasks, such as the sharpening of knives, gardening tools and many other items. Included in this package is the WG250/K Diamond Trueing Tool, an essential accessory to ensure the outer diameter remains concentric and the sharpening surface perfectly flat. For more details and to see a video click on more info button.
  • Included with the machine are a range of essential tools and jigs, not only making this package fantastic value for money but also allowing accurate sharpening straight from the box. A full range of optional jigs and accessories are available which are compatible with the 12 mm bar system of the Record Power WG250. The WG200 features smooth and responsive variable speed. The torque can also be adjusted, enabling heavier grinding without fear of the stone or honing wheel slipping under pressure.

  • The ProEdge Deluxe system includes a skew jig, a standard gouge jig, a fingernail profiler and three different belts in addition to the basic system.
  • The Robert Sorby ProEdge takes all the guesswork and effort out of sharpening all your woodworking, woodturning tools. The ProEdge has an abrasive belt which is a quick and efficient method of putting a keen edge on each and every tool. The cool running belt avoids any overheating. The ProEdge comes complete with aluminium oxide and zirconium belts. The ProEdge requires no complex assembly - it can be plugged in and used straight from the box.
  • This robust material is designed to handle the demands of all steels. Not strictly ‘grit sizes’ these belts are built using brick and pyramid abrasive shaping. The highest 3000 ‘grit’ size will sharpen to two microns (the same sharpness as a disposable razor blade) and provide a factory finish on all steels.
  • Outside caliper with fine adjustment for measuring spindle diameters when turning between centres.
  • Outside caliper with fine adjustment for measuring spindle diameters when turning between centres.
  • This hardwearing material is a great choice for profiling and re-profiling damaged tools. The heavier 60 grit option is an efficient choice for removing plenty of material, while the finer 120 grit will provide a satisfying finish. Great longevity and highly practical.
  • Applied to a buffing mop the honing paste creates a highly polished finish on any steel.

Featuring a spiral twist, these plain end HSS blades can cut in any direction without the need to turn the workpiece. This is particularly useful for projects that are too big for the throat depth of the scroll saw. They also allow for pieces to be cut with the bevel running in the same direction all round. 0.8 mm wide, 0.34 mm thick, 40 TPI.
  • These pin end blades are ideal for use in machines that only accept pin end blades, but can also be used in machines that feature universal jaws. Their width makes them ideal for straighter cuts and for more arduous cuts, such as deep hard woods. Perfect for small joints and box making. 3 mm wide, 0.5 mm thick, 20 TPI.
