With a cast iron table at the heart of this compact machine it is designed to offer those with limited space or budgets a real bandsaw with sensible capacity and performance, as an alternative to lightweight hobby machines. The BS250 should not be confused with the lightweight hobby machines available in the market at a similar price. It shares the same essential build qualities as its larger cousins – strong steel frames, dynamically balanced bandwheels, cast iron tables and an induction motor. It has been designed to offer the user with space restrictions a serious machine in compact form. The machine can be bench mounted or fitted to the optional stand and wheel kit, providing great flexibility in a tight space.

The BS300E is a great all rounder perfectly specified for the medium sized workshop where a range of duties will be required.Featuring a solid fence, vital for accurate ripping, which has a heavy extrusion mounted on a cast iron base and fixed to a solid steel bar for maximum rigidity and support. This is based on an industrial Startrite design and much more solid than other fences at this level. The machine also features a solid double trunnion fence mount to provide rigid table support and one-handed table tilt on a smooth rack and pinion. Adding to the structural integrity of the BS300E are the cast iron bandwheels which are fitted with precision ground rubber tyres to provide a flywheel effect for smooth cutting. A solid blade tension indicator is fitted to the rear of the machine to allow for easy setup. The BS300E is also supplied with a basic wheel kit as standard. -
An ideal workhorse for the busy workshop where power and generous capacity are required but budget and space do not allow a bigger machine. This features an open legstand, often requested by our users as it provides greater stability and can be used with an optional pedal style wheelkit. A basic wheelkit is provided as standard. The bandwheels are cast iron and dynamically balanced with precision ground, crowned rubber tyres usually only found on much more expensive industrial machines – the flywheel effect of the cast iron wheels improves cutting performance and speeds. Our tables are some of the largest in their category and a one piece cast double trunnion has been designed to provide even greater support and rigidity. The rip fence is the strongest and most industrial in its category with a chromed fence and the mount machined from a single piece of cast iron. The extrusion itself is a heavy section to provide rigidity and accuracy. -

The BS400 bandsaw offers high quality, industrial features and large capacities to the mid range bandsaw market. This machine brings affordable solid performance and reliability within reach of the discerning woodworker. Like all bandsaws in the range, a solid cast iron table provides unrivalled stability and solidity. An industrial style cast trunnion supports the table and allows it to be tilted one-handed on a rack and pinion. Dynamically balanced cast iron bandwheels ensure superior strength and reduced vibration - a feature not usually found on other machines at this level. The 2hp motor and 305mm depth of cut mean this machine can cope easily with large timbers yet is also equally capable of fine, precise cuts and veneers. -
The DML250 is a compact and extremely well built machine that offers excellent performance and exceptional value for money. The finely ground cast iron bed, along with the cast iron headstock, tailstock and tool rest, greatly reduce vibration and provide ample strength for the lathe to cope with heavy duty work. The capacities of this machine and its overall size make it a perfect choice for the smaller workshop. The DML305 cast iron lathe represents a new benchmark in high quality midi lathes and is perfect for the user with minimal space or as a second lathe for demonstrations and shows. The bed is made from finely ground cast iron for weight and rigidity and fitted with cam locking tool rests that clamp easily and solidly to the bed with one handed operation. The machine has 393 mm between centres as standard and an optional bed extension can be added to increase this capacity.
The swing over the bed is 305 mm and the motor is 1/2 hp, providing plenty of power for the capacities of these machines. The spindle has an M33 thread to ensure a wide range of Record Power accessories can be fitted.
This lathe is extremely well finished with polished metal handles, spindle locks with indexing and graduated markings on the tailstock barrels. Many of these features are normally only found on expensive professional lathes.

These jaws are able to hold the smallest work pieces. The convex internal radius on each jaw is designed to avoid damage to small and fragile work. It allows the user to get very close to support thin work as safely as possible. It also allows good access to work close to the base of a work piece without the tool fouling on the jaws. For maximum support always ensure the workpiece features a spigot long enough to be supported along the full length of the jaws’ internal surface. These extremely flexible jaws feature internal and external dovetails for bowl work. Another of the most popular jaws for full size chucks – these are also ideal for smaller chuck projects too. We have set the range of these bodies to be compatible with most tea light holder designs (on either body) as well as many salt or pepper pot designs and these offer an excellent expansion grip for many projects. The end of the jawis dovetailed so can be used on its own as a delicate grip – or the jaw can be inserted full length using the back jaw face as a register and providing wall support to prevent the workpiece being knocked from a dovetail only grip. Records' new pin jaws have been improved by squaring the external shoulder to allow workpieces to properly register against the back of the jaws. The BM16 is a compact bench mounted morticer, introducing new levels of accuracy, ease of use and industrial features at an affordable price. The table is finely ground cast iron and moves smoothly and effortlessly front to back and side to side on machined dovetail slides. To ensure unsurpassed accuracy, the slides are fully adjustable using the easily accessible gib strips. An important feature of the table is the heavy and solid clamp, the likes of which are usually only seen on more industrial machines, which holds workpieces extremely securely, ensuring no movement during operation. The clamp is also repositionable, allowing a wide range of timber sizes to be accommodated. Movement of the chisel is similarly smooth and accurate, with a gas spring and dovetail slides, which feature adjustable gib strips, allowing cuts to be made with ease and precision. To further increase accuracy and speed of use, the BM16 also features sideways movement stops as well as vertical movement stops. These stops allow the depth and width of mortices to be set in order to achieve consistent results again and again. -
