  • Innovation has been key to the progress of the Laguna brand and it is fully embraced here in the REVO 12/16 Midi Lathe. To overcome the issues of a traditional DC motor (Low torque at low speed and inability to achieve very low speeds) the controller uses the revolutionary Pulse Width Modulation system which feeds a succession of voltage pulses to the motor, monitoring the speed and automatically making adjustments to keep the speed constant. The result is a fantastic level of torque even at the incredibly low speed of 50rpm. The controls are mounted in an anodized aluminium plate, the ergonomic design is well positioned with a clear digital speed read out and easy access to all controls. The variable speed is smoothly controlled with a tactile rubber augmented knurled aluminium dial - A joy to use. Supplied with 2MT four prong drive centre, 2MT revolving tail centre, 75mm (3") diameter faceplate, 1.8m power cable with UK 3 pin plug.

This Planer Thicknesser is perfectly suited to the discerning woodworker who expects professional, reliable performance from a solid and durable machine but doesn’t have the space or budget for a larger industrial machine. Heavy duty cast iron tables give this machine a degree of accuracy not found elsewhere on machines of this capacity or price bracket - infeed table is easily and accurately adjusted using the robust lever and clear depth scale. In addition, the PT107 also boasts an outfeed table adjustment facility, meaning truly exact calibration can be achieved to ensure superior accuracy when planing. For easy, rapid conversion to thicknessing mode, the hood is a large, steel one-piece swinging design. The thicknessing table is supported by a substantial central column, giving plenty of support to even the heaviest workpieces. To aid the thicknessing of particularly difficult stock, a clutch is provided on the thicknessing feed to allow removal of stock if jamming occurs. This also means that the thicknesser can be disengaged when not in use to save wear and tear on internal parts.

  • Tubular leg stand for the Coronet Herald.
    • The design of the 6-prong drive centres offers an enhanced grip to timber using the principle of opposing tooth profiles. The central point of the tool secures the drive centre in place, the six teeth around it grip the timber securely and the opposing tooth pattern ensures the wood fibres are pulled together to reduce the chance of splitting. Having two more teeth than the traditional 4-prong drive centres, they are ideal for use on hardwoods and larger pieces of wood.
The grip is spread across 6 prongs, it is possible to grip the timber sufficiently just by using the clamping pressure of the lathe tailstock - no need to drive the tips into the wood with a mallet. Another benefit of this design is that your work can be removed from the lathe and accurately repositioned, using the centre point and ting of teeth as an accurate guide. These drives also give a fantastic grip to paper-joint wood blanks, as the ring of teeth grip on many points across the drive’s circumference across both sections of wood on either side of the joint. The 32 mm diameter drive centre is ideal for holding side-grain bowl blanks. It is also suitable for holding natural-edged bowls between centres, particularly if seated inside a 32 mm diameter recess, for extra support from the recess walls. The 16 and 22 mm drive centres are ideal for holding spindle work.
  • These jaws are perfect for drilling pen blanks, eliminating the need for a drill press and offering much more accurate results because the deep grip to all four sides ensures excellent holding power. Drilling on the lathe means the feed speed of the drill bit is under complete control, so a superior finish can be achieved on a wide range of materials. These jaws are also useful for working on small finials and similar projects, as in addition to their strong grip, the work piece is moved forward from the chuck to allow greater access.   SC1 Contraction Spigot: 14 - 20 mm Contraction Square: 14 - 24.5 mm SC2 Contraction Spigot: 14 - 20 mm Contraction Square: 14 - 26 mm
  • These jaws are able to hold the smallest work pieces. The convex internal radius on each jaw is designed to avoid damage to small and fragile work. It allows the user to get very close to support thin work as safely as possible. It also allows good access to work close to the base of a work piece without the tool fouling on the jaws. For maximum support always ensure the workpiece features a spigot long enough to be supported along the full length of the jaws’ internal surface.   SC1 Contraction Spigot: 4 - 11.5 mm Contraction Square: 4 - 11.5 mm SC2 Contraction Spigot: 4 - 25.5 mm Contraction Square: 4 - 25.5 mm
  • Another of the most popular jaws for full size chucks – these are also ideal for smaller chuck projects too. We have set the range of these bodies to be compatible with most tea light holder designs (on either body) as well as many salt or pepper pot designs and these offer an excellent expansion grip for many projects. The end of the jaw
is dovetailed so can be used on its own as a delicate grip – or the jaw can be inserted full length using the back jaw face as a register and providing wall support to prevent the workpiece being knocked from a dovetail only grip. The dovetail at the end provides additional security in expansion mode.
    SC1 Expansion: 39 - 47.5 mm Contraction Spigot: 6 - 14.5 mm Contraction Square: 4.5 - 12 mm SC2 Expansion: 39.5 - 60 mm Contraction Spigot: 6 - 26 mm Contraction Square: 4.5 - 25 mm
  • This faceplate ring is ideal for holding small to medium sized bowl blanks and due to its strong hold is also suitable for more out of balance timber. It is held to the chuck using the standard 40 mm jaw set which comes with both the SC1 and SC2 Mini Chucks. Diameter: 68 mm
  • Standard fastenings spares kit for the Record Power SC3 and SC4 chucks. The kit contains 8 hex socket head screws for jaws, 3 and 4 mm hex wrenches and a blind set screw and fibre washer for chuck inserts.
