This robust material is designed to handle the demands of all steels. Not strictly ‘grit sizes’ these belts are built using brick and pyramid abrasive shaping. The highest 3000 ‘grit’ size will sharpen to two microns (the same sharpness as a disposable razor blade) and provide a factory finish on all steels. -

With 28 LED bulbs mains powered, Charnwood's magnetic base light is ideal for any situation where better lighting is required. The flexible arm is 370mm long and is fixed onto a magnetic base that can be turned on and off allowing the LED light to be securely attached to any steel or cast iron base. Record have increased the capacity of their larger remounting jaws, whilst ensuring they can still clear the bed of lathes with the popular 12” swing capacity and are capable of holding 275 mm (10 3/4”) diameter bowls in contraction mode. Remounting jaws are incredibly popular due to their flexibility. They work in both contraction and expansion modes and can be fitted behind other jaw sets to create bespoke set-ups to make turning more efficient. The soft stoppers are designed to hold without causing damage, making them ideal for remounting finished or partly finished objects for further work. -

This hardwearing material is a great choice for profiling and re-profiling damaged tools. The heavier 60 grit option is an efficient choice for removing plenty of material, while the finer 120 grit will provide a satisfying finish. Great longevity and highly practical.
