  • Records' new pin jaws have been improved by squaring the external shoulder to allow workpieces to properly register against the back of the jaws. This is ideal for use in expansion, to grip tubes in work pieces such as pepper or salt grinders. We have also reduced the internal diameter to 9 mm, making it ideal for making finials or lace bobbins - Thereby increasing its versatility. This set is ideal for miniature turning and to grip workpieces internally without excessive damage or marking. Expansion: 28 - 45 mm Contraction Spigot: 9 - 28 mm Contraction Square: 7 - 27 mm
  • Another of the most popular jaws for full size chucks – these are also ideal for smaller chuck projects too. We have set the range of these bodies to be compatible with most tea light holder designs (on either body) as well as many salt or pepper pot designs and these offer an excellent expansion grip for many projects. The end of the jaw
is dovetailed so can be used on its own as a delicate grip – or the jaw can be inserted full length using the back jaw face as a register and providing wall support to prevent the workpiece being knocked from a dovetail only grip. The dovetail at the end provides additional security in expansion mode.
    SC1 Expansion: 39 - 47.5 mm Contraction Spigot: 6 - 14.5 mm Contraction Square: 4.5 - 12 mm SC2 Expansion: 39.5 - 60 mm Contraction Spigot: 6 - 26 mm Contraction Square: 4.5 - 25 mm
  • These jaws are perfect for drilling pen blanks, eliminating the need for a drill press and offering much more accurate results because the deep grip to all four sides ensures excellent holding power. Drilling on the lathe means the feed speed of the drill bit is under complete control, so a superior finish can be achieved on a wide range of materials. These jaws are also useful for working on small finials and similar projects, as in addition to their strong grip, the work piece is moved forward from the chuck to allow greater access.   SC1 Contraction Spigot: 14 - 20 mm Contraction Square: 14 - 24.5 mm SC2 Contraction Spigot: 14 - 20 mm Contraction Square: 14 - 26 mm
  • These jaws are fantastically effective for drilling pen blanks. They eliminate the need for a drill press and offer much more accurate results and the deep grip to all four sides ensures incredible holding power. Drilling on the lathe means the feed speed of the drill bit is under your complete control, meaning a superior finish can be achieved on a wide range of materials. These jaws are also useful for working on small finials and similar projects as in addition to their strong grip, the work piece is moved forward from the chuck, allowing greater access. Contraction Square: 10 - 26 mm Contraction Spigot: 11 - 20 mm Expansion: 35 - 64 mm
  • To complement the new pin jaws, the mini spigot jaws have also been improved. These jaws perform many of the same tasks in expansion and the extra screw hole profiles and added teeth to the outside provide tremendous grip for when this area will not be visible in the finished work piece. This set has been given a 13 mm internal diameter, making it ideal for turning strong spigots on knobs and handles, again adding to their versatility. Expansion: 26 - 46 mm Contraction Spigot: 13 - 33 mm Contraction Square: 11 - 31 mm
  • This faceplate ring is ideal for holding small to medium sized bowl blanks and due to its strong hold is also suitable for more out of balance timber. It is held to the chuck using the standard 40 mm jaw set which comes with both the SC1 and SC2 Mini Chucks. Diameter: 68 mm
  • These extremely flexible jaws feature internal and external dovetails for bowl work. The deep internal grip is versatile but main benefit of these jaws is to project the work away from the chuck, allowing good tool access to the base of the timber for cleaning and shaping. Expansion: 54 - 74 mm Contraction Spigot: 38 - 58 mm Contraction Square: 27.5 - 48 mm
  • These jaws are able to hold the smallest work pieces. The convex internal radius on each jaw is designed to avoid damage to small and fragile work. It allows the user to get very close to support thin work as safely as possible. It also allows good access to work close to the base of a work piece without the tool fouling on the jaws. For maximum support always ensure the workpiece features a spigot long enough to be supported along the full length of the jaws’ internal surface.   SC1 Contraction Spigot: 4 - 11.5 mm Contraction Square: 4 - 11.5 mm SC2 Contraction Spigot: 4 - 25.5 mm Contraction Square: 4 - 25.5 mm

The BS400 bandsaw offers high quality, industrial features and large capacities to the mid range bandsaw market. This machine brings affordable solid performance and reliability within reach of the discerning woodworker. Like all bandsaws in the range, a solid cast iron table provides unrivalled stability and solidity. An industrial style cast trunnion supports the table and allows it to be tilted one-handed on a rack and pinion. Dynamically balanced cast iron bandwheels ensure superior strength and reduced vibration - a feature not usually found on other machines at this level. The 2hp motor and 305mm depth of cut mean this machine can cope easily with large timbers yet is also equally capable of fine, precise cuts and veneers.
  • An ideal workhorse for the busy workshop where power and generous capacity are required but budget and space do not allow a bigger machine. This features an open legstand, often requested by our users as it provides greater stability and can be used with an optional pedal style wheelkit. A basic wheelkit is provided as standard. The bandwheels are cast iron and dynamically balanced with precision ground, crowned rubber tyres usually only found on much more expensive industrial machines – the flywheel effect of the cast iron wheels improves cutting performance and speeds. Our tables are some of the largest in their category and a one piece cast double trunnion has been designed to provide even greater support and rigidity. The rip fence is the strongest and most industrial in its category with a chromed fence and the mount machined from a single piece of cast iron. The extrusion itself is a heavy section to provide rigidity and accuracy.
  • The BS300E is a great all rounder perfectly specified for the medium sized workshop where a range of duties will be required.
Featuring a solid fence, vital for accurate ripping, which has a heavy extrusion mounted on a cast iron base and fixed to a solid steel bar for maximum rigidity and support. This is based on an industrial Startrite design and much more solid than other fences at this level. The machine also features a solid double trunnion fence mount to provide rigid table support and one-handed table tilt on a smooth rack and pinion. Adding to the structural integrity of the BS300E are the cast iron bandwheels which are fitted with precision ground rubber tyres to provide a flywheel effect for smooth cutting. A solid blade tension indicator is fitted to the rear of the machine to allow for easy setup. The BS300E is also supplied with a basic wheel kit as standard.
  • With a cast iron table at the heart of this compact machine it is designed to offer those with limited space or budgets a real bandsaw with sensible capacity and performance, as an alternative to lightweight hobby machines. The BS250 should not be confused with the lightweight hobby machines available in the market at a similar price. It shares the same essential build qualities as its larger cousins – strong steel frames, dynamically balanced bandwheels, cast iron tables and an induction motor. It has been designed to offer the user with space restrictions a serious machine in compact form. The machine can be bench mounted or fitted to the optional stand and wheel kit, providing great flexibility in a tight space.

When it is critical to drill a hole at a certain angle or the hole needs to be stopped at a specific depth, there really is no substitute for a dedicated drilling machine. By setting up the work piece and clamping it to the table all guesswork is eliminated and accurate and repeat drilling becomes simple and easy. Record Power have long had a reputation for fine drilling machines and our current range is no exception. Making extensive use of steel and cast iron and driven by a powerful induction motor, the DP58P can be expected to give reliable service for many years. The headstock in particular is made from a large casting to give rigidity and absorb vibration. The large, heavy table is fitted with rack and pinion rise and fall. The machine has 12 speeds, making it suitable for drilling metal as well as wood. This is particularly useful as most woodworkers have the occasional need to drill metal for hinges, brackets and plating etc. and it can be very frustrating to have the right machine for the job but not the right speeds. Record Power have a high reputation for quality drilling machines and we believe that when this machine is compared to others in the market at similar (or greater) prices the value for money it represents will be quickly appreciated.
