The cam-action fence adjustment, spring-loaded guides, cam-action blade tension release and double-sided fence mount make this a machine that is so easy to setup and use it leaves you free to concentrate fully on the project at hand. The Elipse range of respirators are made in Great Britain. The mask body is made from TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer) a flexible material which is designed to fit the contours of the face to provide a tight seal. The filter material is known as HESPA (High Efficiency Synthetic Particulate Airfilter). Together they provide absolute protection for woodworkers. The Elipse P3 has the highest classification for a particulate filter. Surpassing the European standard EN143 by achieved 99.98% filtration at 0.3 micron. It is therefore ideal for woodturners and woodworkers, giving complete protection, even when sanding. The twin filter arrangement consists of a light weight half face mask that is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The low profile filters provide an unobstructed field of vision. Two adjustable elastic straps securely fasten the mask to the wearer. The two strap system allows the wearer to quickly put the mask on and off the face, whilst still wearing it around the neck. Can be worn with glasses ,without causing any steaming, and other PPE safety products including visors and helmets. It is perfect for everyday use by hobby and professional users. Other applications include metalworking, welding and stonemasonry. The Elipse P3 provides protection against dust particles, metal fumes (smoke), asbestos, oil and water mists, vapours, bacteria and viruses. Replacement filters are easily fitted. -

The midi sized lathe continues to be Charnwoods' best seller. It is a size which can accomplish most of the projects turners are likely to try and is the largest lathe which can comfortably be moved off the bench when not in use. We have developed ours further this year to now include an indexing system on the headstock spindle as well as more robust electronics, specifically designed for UK voltage. The bed of the lathe is one-piece precision ground cast iron giving 14" between centres when working with our new heavy duty centres, which are supplied as standard. The bowl turning capacity of 12" diameter over the bed, requires a very low speed which is achieved using a converter and a DC motor. A clear LCD display shows the current RPM. The tool rest banjo is a cam-lock design for rapid adjustments with all metal components. The tool rest itself is our ever popular round bar made from hardened steel The headstock is hollow centred to allow for easy tool removal, the tailstock is also hollow and has automatic centre removal. Supplied with drive and tail centres 2MT, knockout bar, 6" toolrest with 5/8" shank, 3" diameter faceplate, tool holder, carrying handles and cable tidy. N.B. The distance between centres will vary and be dependent on the type of centres or accessories used. Maximum distance is 450mm (18"). -
Innovation has been key to the progress of the Laguna brand and it is fully embraced here in the REVO 12/16 Midi Lathe. To overcome the issues of a traditional DC motor (Low torque at low speed and inability to achieve very low speeds) the controller uses the revolutionary Pulse Width Modulation system which feeds a succession of voltage pulses to the motor, monitoring the speed and automatically making adjustments to keep the speed constant. The result is a fantastic level of torque even at the incredibly low speed of 50rpm. The controls are mounted in an anodized aluminium plate, the ergonomic design is well positioned with a clear digital speed read out and easy access to all controls. The variable speed is smoothly controlled with a tactile rubber augmented knurled aluminium dial - A joy to use. Supplied with 2MT four prong drive centre, 2MT revolving tail centre, 75mm (3") diameter faceplate, 1.8m power cable with UK 3 pin plug. -

The BS400 bandsaw offers high quality, industrial features and large capacities to the mid range bandsaw market. This machine brings affordable solid performance and reliability within reach of the discerning woodworker. Like all bandsaws in the range, a solid cast iron table provides unrivalled stability and solidity. An industrial style cast trunnion supports the table and allows it to be tilted one-handed on a rack and pinion. Dynamically balanced cast iron bandwheels ensure superior strength and reduced vibration - a feature not usually found on other machines at this level. The 2hp motor and 305mm depth of cut mean this machine can cope easily with large timbers yet is also equally capable of fine, precise cuts and veneers.
