While this resin has been manufactured to resist scratching and resistance to marking from heat sources we must stress this resin will still mark if sharp items are moved across the surface or hot items are placed on the surface.
As with all casting products, we stress that customers should purchase a small amount to perform initial tests to ensure suitability for their project and requirements.
Pigmentation Epoxy pigments are the recommended system to colour this resin however the polyester range of pigments will also work. Please read the Technical and Safety Data sheets prior to use. We recommend small scale testing to ensure compatibility before using at full scale. Cold Weather Notice Cooler temperatures in the UK and Ireland around mid-autumn to mid spring are not ideal conditions for water clear epoxy systems, this can increase the chances of crystallisation in the resin (this can occur at room temperature depending on circumstances, it is however much less common). Appearance can differ depending on the degree of crystallisation, from small lumps sitting on the surface to a hazy/milky white appearance, extreme cases the contents may completely solidify. Crystallisation occurs due to a phase change from liquid or solid similar to that of water turning to ice, fortunately it is easily reversed by warming the epoxy component to 60°c. Ensure any crystals are completely removed as remaining crystals can act as a seed causing the crystals to form again quite quickly. Lab results show the heating cycle to remove crystals can be repeated on multiple occasions before beginning to suffer from any losses in resin properties. The BS300E is a great all rounder perfectly specified for the medium sized workshop where a range of duties will be required.Featuring a solid fence, vital for accurate ripping, which has a heavy extrusion mounted on a cast iron base and fixed to a solid steel bar for maximum rigidity and support. This is based on an industrial Startrite design and much more solid than other fences at this level. The machine also features a solid double trunnion fence mount to provide rigid table support and one-handed table tilt on a smooth rack and pinion. Adding to the structural integrity of the BS300E are the cast iron bandwheels which are fitted with precision ground rubber tyres to provide a flywheel effect for smooth cutting. A solid blade tension indicator is fitted to the rear of the machine to allow for easy setup. The BS300E is also supplied with a basic wheel kit as standard. -

These jaws are able to hold the smallest work pieces. The convex internal radius on each jaw is designed to avoid damage to small and fragile work. It allows the user to get very close to support thin work as safely as possible. It also allows good access to work close to the base of a work piece without the tool fouling on the jaws. The BM16 is a compact bench mounted morticer, introducing new levels of accuracy, ease of use and industrial features at an affordable price. The table is finely ground cast iron and moves smoothly and effortlessly front to back and side to side on machined dovetail slides. To ensure unsurpassed accuracy, the slides are fully adjustable using the easily accessible gib strips. An important feature of the table is the heavy and solid clamp, the likes of which are usually only seen on more industrial machines, which holds workpieces extremely securely, ensuring no movement during operation. The clamp is also repositionable, allowing a wide range of timber sizes to be accommodated. Movement of the chisel is similarly smooth and accurate, with a gas spring and dovetail slides, which feature adjustable gib strips, allowing cuts to be made with ease and precision.
