The Record Sabre-300 12" Bandsaw is the latest cutting-edge machine introduced into the market-leading Record Power SABRE series of bandsaws. Designed and developed with the keen hobbyist woodworker in mind, the SABRE-300 embodies the next step in the evolution of our flagship bandsaw range, offering a high-quality and extremely versatile machine, at a size suitable for most workshops. With a multitude of innovative features, substantial power and capacity, the SABRE-300 is the ideal machine for handling a wide variety of tasks, ranging from intricate small-scale items to larger, heavier workpieces, making it the ultimate multi-purpose bandsaw. The advantageous rip fence micro-adjustment feature enables extremely accurate positioning, helping users to achieve the desired position quickly and easily. The premium-grade sliding block blade guides provide extensive blade support, which helps to minimise vibration and enhances both stability and control. The blade guides are made from premium O1 tool steel, which has been selected for its exceptional ability to dissipate heat far more efficiently than ceramic alternatives. Adjustment of the blade guides is completely tool-free and can be carried out quickly and easily, using the accurate adjustment and locking handles. The SABRE-300 takes harmful wood dust protection to the next level, with the combination of side and rear dust extraction ports. The rear dust port features a CamVac bayonet fitting, allowing direct connectivity with the Record Power range of CamVac high-filtration dust extractors. The side dust port seamlessly pairs with the Record Power 2.5" flexible hose, streamlining the dust extraction setup. A removable dust cap situated within the lower cabinet over the blade, further reduces airflow leakage, increasing extraction efficiency.

With a cast iron table at the heart of this compact machine it is designed to offer those with limited space or budgets a real bandsaw with sensible capacity and performance, as an alternative to lightweight hobby machines. The BS250 should not be confused with the lightweight hobby machines available in the market at a similar price. It shares the same essential build qualities as its larger cousins – strong steel frames, dynamically balanced bandwheels, cast iron tables and an induction motor. It has been designed to offer the user with space restrictions a serious machine in compact form. The machine can be bench mounted or fitted to the optional stand and wheel kit, providing great flexibility in a tight space.
-
Included with the machine are a range of essential tools and jigs, not only making this package fantastic value for money but also allowing accurate sharpening straight from the box. A full range of optional jigs and accessories are available which are compatible with the 12 mm bar system of the Record Power WG250. The WG200 features smooth and responsive variable speed. The torque can also be adjusted, enabling heavier grinding without fear of the stone or honing wheel slipping under pressure.

Out of stockThe wheel kit provides great flexibility for those with a small workshop or for people who may need to move the machine on a regular basis.

- The multi-tooth drive centres feature a ring of teeth around the circumference of the tip, with a central drive point to give accurate positioning. This design gives an extremely strong grip, thanks to the many points of contact in the timber, which also minimises the risk of splitting the timber.
-
This live centre features two high quality sealed-for-life bearings, giving incredibly smooth rotation and the 60º point is optimised to give the best grip possible from a single point of contact. It is ideal for use on spindle work and can also be used to support headstock mounted bowls and larger vessels from the tailstock.
-
These extremely flexible jaws feature internal and external dovetails for bowl work. The deep internal grip is versatile but main benefit of these jaws is to project the work away from the chuck, allowing good tool access to the base of the timber for cleaning and shaping. Expansion: 54 - 74 mm Contraction Spigot: 38 - 58 mm Contraction Square: 27.5 - 48 mm
-
To complement the new pin jaws, the mini spigot jaws have also been improved. These jaws perform many of the same tasks in expansion and the extra screw hole profiles and added teeth to the outside provide tremendous grip for when this area will not be visible in the finished work piece. This set has been given a 13 mm internal diameter, making it ideal for turning strong spigots on knobs and handles, again adding to their versatility. Expansion: 26 - 46 mm Contraction Spigot: 13 - 33 mm Contraction Square: 11 - 31 mm

Largely inspired by Norwegian turner Petter Herud a series of Revolving (or Live) Stebcentres has been introduced. Not only do these offer the same degree of security as the conventional Stebcentre, but they have allowed the turner to experiment with basic off-centre turning.
